Quick Send pdf invoice has a smaller font then invoice not generated\sent using quick send.

We have a client who is getting a number of complaints from customers regarding invoices that are sent using quick send. If an invoice is sent via quick send and it is printed the font size on the quick send invoice is smaller compared to an invoice generated and printed without using quick send. The font size seems to be about 1 to 2 points smaller on the quick send then the regular printed invoice. They are using a custom invoice format. Does generating a pdf file do something with font size? It happens for all users on any PC that generates the invoice. Thanks.

So it sounds like it's a pdf issue. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Michael,

I had a chance to test this and Quick Send doesn't seem to have anything to do witht the font.  It seems to be in the conversion to a PDF.  I printed out an OM invoice normally and then printed that same invoice to a PDF file then sent that file to the printer.  The PDF document does have a slightly smaller font.

    Hi Michael,

I'll test this in the demo database and see what I find.

    Carolyn,

Sorry for the late reply. They are using the same invoice format for quick send and the invoices they print. The client is printing the pdf invoice and comparing it to an invoice that was printed directly using the OM invoice print process. The pdf invoice always seems to have a smaller font. It is readable but our client is getting complaints from some of their customers that the font is too small. Do you know if the pdf process created via quick send could impact the formating? Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

Are they using two different formats of the report - one for Quick Send and one that they print out and mail?  Perhaps the report they are using for Quick Send has been customized and the font is set smaller.  Also, if they are sending the invoice out as a PDF, are they comparing to a printout of a PDF document?  They wouldn't want to compare a PDF copy of the invoice to one that is printed via Word for instance.  Also, they could be comparing a printed copy to a displayed one on their screen.  This type of comparison could be deceiving.
