Anyone having issues with RMS using the native touch capabilities in Windows 8.1?

Running CU5 and have configured HP all-in-one POS systems.

When using the touchscreen as part of POS, it will set focus to the touch panel and lose focus from transaction screen.

Using the numeric keypad will not interact with the main transaction grid.

using a mouse, it is fine.

Same hardware was fine using windows 7.

any ideas?

I have the same trouble using a MS Surface Pro Tablet.

I don't think it is the hardware.

There are known issues with touchscreen functions on Windows 8. I doubt they will be resolved in any future update.

You are best off specifying Windows 7 if you want all touchscreen functions to work in POS.

Just updated to CU5 and have a very similar issue.

Touch keyboard Left hand sections work fine, but right hand cursor block and numeric block pull focus off tranction screen and input not accepted. Task pad also perfect.

Had to change screen at the same time so may be interrelated but screen appears to be good otherwise.

Windows 8 running for 20months no problems until now.

Yes it does have a known problem with Windows 8 or 8.1. I am suffering from this problem as well. I submitted the tech request to MS and they told me they are working on to resolve this issue as part of the future Windows 8.1 patch. MS tech support mentioned that "It is is the Operating System not the RMS". RMS tech support redirected my request to OS tech support and I have not yet contacted to them yet which I would by end of today or sometime next week. I will keep you update on this issue.

There may be a work around to this issue though if one could develop the Numeric Pad with Naviagation keys using the TASK Pad but I don't know how to do it.
