Team,

In CRM 2013 the custom entity records allows the user to create activity records and associate it ot InActive records.

Is this a new feature in CRM 2013 or is there any way we can control this from configuration?

I do not want any records to be created and associated to Inactive records.

It is working good for Standard entities, the new button is hidden for all standard entities when the record is deactivated.

But for Custom entities when I open deactivated record, I am able to add new task/phone/email/

How do we prevent this? without customization

Edit the ribbon bar for the custom entity and add the rule to hide the add button ( activities ) when record status is inactive
