Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook showing strange "EML" line in the Subject Line

Hi

I'm using the CRM for Outlook plugin right now but when I send a email to myself or another contact and click the "Track" function before sending it, the recipient and the email record in CRM has this strange "EML:<number>" attached at the end of the subject line. This only occurs when I'm composing an email, during with I click track before sending (see screenshot).

If I track the email after it's been sent, the EML line does not appear in CRM.

Is there anyway of getting rid of that EML line or will it always be there?7571.Error.PNG

    Hi,
In the CRM system settings (Administration > System settings) go to the E-mail tab.
Look for the Tracking token section. It may be labelled Configure e-mail correlation, depending on your version of CRM.
There you will find a field called Prefix, which should contain 'EML'.
You can turn off the tracking token if that suits your business needs. Alternatively, you can change it to another text string.
The rest of the options there are self explanatory.

Please remember to mark as verified if a member of the community helps you.

Thank you so much Brad! That seemed to have removed the EML!

Perhaps you could help me with one more thing. In the email activities in CRM. The tracked email records always says:

"The email below might contain script or content that is potentially harmful and has been blocked.See the full content."

Is this happening because the email is sent out through Outlook and then tracked in CRM?

Is there a way to turn it off?

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, we resolved that issue before I started in this role so I don't know how it was done. I believe it is an Outlook issue because by default Outlook will warn on HTML emails. You could try having a play with the Trust Center section of the Outlook settings and see if you can resolve it. However, this will only affect individual PCs. I don't believe that you can turn this off from the CRM side.

I suggest asking the forum in a new post. Be sure to include the versions of Outlook and CRM that you are using.
    Good luck.
