ReportReport

Hi All ,

In AX , Is there any reports available against product category ?

For example  I have a product category  Computer .

Computer sub categories  - Desktop and Laptop

Desktop sub categories - Dell, HP .

Now my question is there any standard report available that against Desktop category how much qty purchased ?

How much Physical Qty is available ?

There is one report showing categories in Procurement and sourcing >> Reports >>Categories

But there is no report showing Categories + Purchase History

if you want a report as following you have to customize it

    Category A

                Subcategory A1

                Purchase History

                 Subcategory A2

                Purchase History

    Category B

                Purchase History

Technet states "Category hierarchies are used to classify products, vendors, and other data for reporting and analysis." However, it seems the reporting and analysis portion is lacking

yes you are true. There are many areas where you need to do effort.

This is because of many reasons such as it nearly impossible to cover scenarios of whole world organizations. secondly Microsoft need to keep business of partners alive, otherwise a disaster to sales :)

    Hi chr1s220,

If you have deployed the standard AX Cubes:

    • the Purchase cube has a dimension called 'Procurement category'
    • the Sales cube has a dimension called 'Sales category', and another called 'Retail category'
    • the 'Released product' dimension has an attribute called 'Retail category' (which means it appears on most cubes)
