MSD NAV AND BAR TENDER LABELS

We will be launching MSD NAV 216 here in January 2017, we use Bar Tender bar code labels now shipping product to customers and also for stocking inventory. But we type these labels manually.

Is it possible to integrate Bar Tender software with NAV so the labels would print when instructed through NAV?

ie. Shipping label include Mfg Part number, customer internal part number, qty, lot code and PO number.

ie. Stock labels include Mfg Part number, qty, lot code and shelf location.

The person I spoke with at Bar Tender wasn't sure. I did a search on this forum but didn't find something specific to this.

If it is possible to integrate Bar Tender with NAV does anyone know where I can find information to set it up?

Thank you,

You can integrate BarTender wit NAV as you need to write a program to export data from NAV and provide to bartender software ,based on this barcode will be printed.

You can export data from NAV using XMLPORT

If the BarTender can read through the web services and as long as BarTender can expose web services, you can integrate NAV with it. As Amol said you can use XML integration as well.

For both the options you need a help of a NAV partner for modification.

I support other members here. You can integrate NAV with practically any other software as long as this software is able to communicate with external world. NAV can use text files, .XML files, web-services, it can read Excel, etc... So as long as Bar Tender (or any other software you can put here) is able to import/export data somehow, you can connect it with NAV. This has been for many years the biggest NAV advantage.
