Unable to change reporting currency exchange rate when posting 'Project expense journal'

When posting a general journal with account type project, the 'project journal expense' template in Open in Excel and in Data management does not hold any information relation to reporting exchange rate. I am looking for a way to manually change this rate due to needing to post transactions to match reporting currency of transactions posted in previous periods. The only exchange rate available is accounting currency exchange rate.

I am confused as the functionality in this journal should be the same as when posting a standard general journal to either ledger, supplier, customer etc. account types. The reporting exchange rate field is only missing when you post to account type as project.

Hi @Waed Ayyad thanks for your speedy response.

The field you have provided on your screenshot is for accounting currency and not reporting currency.

When you post to account type not project i.e. ledger, supplier, customer, fixed asset you get the option to add in reporting currency rate:

However, when you post to a project then the reporting currency rate field does not appear:
