update user information from Active Directory

So we have our user accounts linked to Active Directory. We'r noticing that this info is not being updated (phone numbers, titles, etc) as they are updated in AD.

What / where is the setting to have this automatically update? Is there such a thing?

    Hi Jon,

    When a user in crm is created the first name, telephone, etc is populated from active directory.  

    However, changes done to active directory are NOT reflected back in crm.  There is no out of the box mechanism.  This could be created with a bit of custom code.

    I have the same problem - there's a couple of female colleagues who've got married / divorced so their names have changed.... would be handy to have a fix  / that bit of custom code.  Did you get anywhere with this?

    Do you have crm 4 or 2011?

    Hey Alex,

    Am facing the same issue. User not updating with AD after change in their primary email id. as you mentioned you have a code to update that. can you provide me with the same.
