How to Print the Pallet Label that is required to be pasted on the physical pallet from D365 advance warehouse management

Posted on by 87

Hi

Is there anyway we can configure and generate Pallet Labels from D365 Advance warehouse management which is required to be pasted on the physical pallets lying around the warehouse ?

During the Receiving Process, have checked that we have we can generate Labels based.

So I would like to generate Pallets to be pasted on the Physical pallets. Could you please confirm how we can do this  in D365 ?
Or if this has to be done outside of D365, could you please share your suggestions.

My understanding is that Pallets have been replaced by License Plates in the new D365 advance warehouse management but still we might require some options to configure and generate pallet labels to be pasted physically on pallets ?

    Thanks for your suggestions.

So these labels can get printed during the receiving process or outbound process when we place the items on the pallet.

To explain my question further with an example,

    1. When we receive an item, the system asks us to scan a license plate (This LP can be generated automatically or it can also entered manually based on the setup from Mobile Menu item).

So when it asks us to scan a License plate during the receiving process, I assume that there is an empty pallet with a Pre-printed label pasted on it and the worker will scan this label to capture the License plate number and then the items will be loaded on this pallet ?

    2. Also during the outbound process, after we have done picking, the system asks us to enter a target license plate, I believe there is an empty pallet with a pre-printed label pasted on it and the worker will scan this label and place the picked items on this pallet and then move the pallet to the "Put" location.

    Is my understanding correct ?

So how we do configure in D365 to generate labels that needs to be pasted on the pallet ?

Like the label will only have something like a barcode and the license plate number.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

just to understand you correctly: You want to print out the labels for each physical pallet in order to achieve tracking regarding the content (e. g. boxes of tomatoes) that is on the pallet, right?

I'd suggest that you take a look into following documentation:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../license-plate-label-printing

    docs.microsoft.com/.../document-routing-layout-for-license-plates

    docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-wave-label-printing

If you need a more comprehensive view on that, I suggest the following video:

    Best regards
