When search and input Chinese words, the search result will return no result!

The UI language is Chinese.

This is the most basic function.

Something wrong?

I have the same question (0)

I am assuming that you are also saving the data in CRM in Chinese languages. Please confirm.

OK, Are you using Quick Find area or Lookup  Views to find records.

Incase of Quick Find - Ensure you have added required entity in Quick Find settings.

Moreover for Other find Views - Just double check if any wrong filter is there which is halting the results.

    I make several test.

    Sometimes search is workable.

For example this contact (Last name: è¨±åºç”„ Evelyn yoga)

    pastedimage1623758884379v1.png

I can search "許" to find the record.

But when search "庭甄", no result!

It looks if search Chinese words is not at beginning of all words, search does not work.

You are also using Wildcard character while Searching with "庭甄" - Like "*庭甄" - Please confirm. It will not read the middle data of last name unless you put Wildcard character.

    OK

I can search "*庭甄" & "*許" to find the record.

Why Dynamic CRM just treat all search just like add wildcard!

Now I have to tell all clients to add wildcard in front of all search. That's stupid.

You can convince client by giving following points:

    1. Use wild card only if you are not sure about the exact name or details you are searching.

    2. Normally Wildcard by design are heavy, So if your clients have huge data it will throw SQL timeout error in some case - so Beware of that and use wisely

    3. Mark my answer if you are satisfied. :)
