Requisition Management and Project Accounting

Posted on by 1,130

I found a reference in a KB in Partnersource about the Requisition Management. The article said that Requisition Management was compatible with Project Accounting as long as the following was being used

Requisition Management with Project Accounting Tool.

Sounds good, I just can't find any other reference to the tool in Partnersource. Does anyone know if it actually exists?

    Hi David,

Thanks for the KB #... In my point this document is either very old (with an updated status, because it shows sept. 2012), and if you pay close attention, there is a note in regards of the Requisition Management module...

Have a look at these blogs post from Janakiram, a Dynamics GP user and supporter :

As I mentionned in my other reply, the best way to push Microsoft to continue the developpment of Business Portal's Requisition Management is to vote for the various request that have been opened in Connect :

    connect.microsoft.com/.../SearchResults.aspx

Search for the ticket 490407, about Project Accounting...

Re: Requisition Management and Project Accounting

    Hi PGS,

Can you please provide the KB # ?  We use the Requisition Management in BP for years and we use also Project Accounting in GP and I can tell your that there is no support for PA in RM... We had mandate our MBS partner to develop a customization for GP's POP module in order to ease the Project # and Cost Category assignment in PO's, otherwise it's just PITA... The request for PA support in RM was asked many years back and was also put in the Connect website of Microsoft, but if no one votes for this feature, it's not going to happen soon... Plus, my guess is that Microsoft doesn't want to canibalize the ISV market by adding the PA support for RM, since there are other vendors out there developping requisition systems for GP, which support PA...
