How to increase email activities subject size

Hi,

I have a Dynamics on premise 9.0. I need to increase the size of email activity subject.

We already changed the size of the field in the entity email to 400. In the screen everything seems ok, and we can write 400 characters, however when we send the email, it cuts only to 200. The same happens in a received email.

It seems something internal is cutting the email subject string to 200.

Anyone has already solved this issue?

    Hey Nuno,

    The subject size is also limitied from the email provided side for example it you are using Exchange online is does not matter if you have 400 characters on the CRM side, Exchange will cut them at 255 this is a hard limitation  docs.microsoft.com/.../exchange-online-limits

    The short answer is on the CRM side we will use the SQL lenghts but the email provider has it own limitations

    I Already noticed my outlook is also limited to 255, however I'm not being able even to have CRM with those 255... as I wrote in the topic it is always cutting in the 200, even with the limit in the database with 400. 

    If I could have CRM with 255, I'll finish my problem, and show those limitations to the business people.
