"Unsuppress" contacts in customer journey

Hi, i'm creating a customer journey which have a segment that includes all contacts who has an event registration for a specified event (and status reason: active).

In the suppression segment I got the opposite, event registration for a specified event (and status reason: INACTIVE).

My goal is that suppressed contacts could "resubscribe" for the event. This way they would go into the customer journey again.

When a contact unsubcribe, we set the event registration to inactive. Then if/when they resubscribe, we want a new event registration record to be created that will be included in the customer journey. 

Anyone got a solution for this problem?

    Hi Partner,

    Members in suppression segment will be always excluded from customer journey.

    And I am wondering in your design, how does contact unsubscribe/re-subscribe? Would they do it by checking/unchecking marketing lists in Subscription Center?
