Each code and date format

Hi,

I have  a code for retrieving a  date field with an #each code:

The code works fine, but the date format is not what I want to show customers in an e-mail.

It look like this:

As you can see, it's an american date format, which is a bit confusing in northern parts of Europe. What I would like to show, is this: 10. september 2020 or possibly this: 10.09.2020

Is there someway I change the date and format settings?

Best regards,

Asle

    Hi Clofly,

    Thanks for the answer, but my inquiry is actually different. Mine is about the date format, but Camilla's request is about the date retrieved from field not corresponding with the actual date in the field (one day short due to UTC) I read that the latter is designed by purpose, but hopefully the way the date format is shown can be changed in settings.

    Best regards

    Asle

    Hi Asle,

    Thanks for your feedback.

    However, currently date format of marketing email is not supported to be customized by us. :(

    You can find all available customization to content of marketing email here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/dynamic-email-content#advanced-dynamic-content

    Please wait for future update to fix it. :)

    Regards,

    Clofly

    This is a very late response to the thread - just posting if it helps someone else;

    Dates are supported in emails - if your trying to insert a date field and get an error then you need to contact Microsoft to get the functionality enabled for your tenancy.

    If dates are working (like with the person who posted the question) the date is being inserted but not formatted how you'd like - then you need to contact Microsoft and tell them how dates should be formatted.

    The limitation with this - all date fields have to be formatted the same, and obviously it uses the format you told MS to use for your tenancy.

    In our case, we're inserting an event date in an email with simple code like: `{{msevtmgt_event(3f82b043-bd91-4d5a-8fe0-5c9db5226fdf).msevtmgt_eventstartdate}}`

    And we defined to MS that we want our dates to be formatted as "dddd MMMM d, yyyy" - so if an event has a start date of today (when im posting this) then it would be formatted\displayed in the email as "Monday July 4, 2022"

    Additional Note - If MS support people tell you dates aren't supported, point them to this;
