Power BI Chart in BC Role Center, automatic update

Hi,

i created a power bi chart in the desktop app, published it and displayed it on the role center in BC.

Sadly there is no automatic update currently. when creating new data its not shown in the chart, also not when clicking update in the power bi chart menu.

the data connection uses odata 4, a query. authentication via user/password.

updates only work via opening the chart in power bi desktop, update there the data, publish, then update power bi chart in BC. not great...

i checked the power bi dataset settings. there is some authentication failure, although it works in the desktop app.

i also created an oauth key, but have no clue how to use that in that scenario.

is there a working way how to get automatically/periodically updated power bi charts in bc role center?

is there a power bi pro/premium license needed?

I have the same question (0)

You should first setup a scheduled refresh of the dataset in the Power BI Service.

With a PBI free license you can refresh once per day, with a Pro 8 times per day and with a Premium 48 times per day.

You need to understand that the BC PBI part shows the report, that is hosted on the PBI Service. It's the PBI Service that needs to refresh the data.
