Nav rapidstart permissions

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi all

I've a lot of questions about RapidStart using and technical things:

  1. Can I manage access right to the rapidstart package executions for end-users regarding Nav permissions?
  2. Can I planned execution of RapidStarts package?
  3. Can I log RapidStart packages execution?

Thanks for support

Include this Permission set "RAPIDSTART" along with the existing permission to that corresponding user.

    Hi Lara Scarlett,

In Dynamics NAV 2016 , We have default Permission set called RAPIDSTART and BASIC

By using the Navigation Path "Departments/Administration/IT Administration/General/Permission Sets" you can find the permission set.

Steps to configure Permissions to Users

    Step 1 : Navigate to "Departments/Administration/IT Administration/General/Users"

Step 2 : Choose the user needs to be configured, Under the User Permission Set , Give BASIC and RAPIDSTART.

If you want to give additional permission to an existing user , Simply give include RAPIDSTART permission set.
