Address validation errors in Dynamics 365 Sales after dual write

Hi,

I am using Party and Global Address Book solution with dual write to synchronise addresses between FO and CE. FO contains the address validations and rules but while creating new addresses in Sales (CE) there are just plain text fields and it gives validation errors on save. This is not user friendly and a bit of hit and miss affair.

What are best practices or some recommended solution to overcome this challenge.

Hi Andre,

reason is these all address fields are text fields in CE and there is no lookup, so it is very hard for user to fill in and chances of mistakes

Errors are mostly faced when I enter state/province, e.g. entering AU/AUS gives the error as in first screenshot.

Entering QLD passes the valudation, however entering Queensland gives error because it doesn't match the reference data in FinOps, as shown in 2nd screenshot

I'm not using addresses with the state field myself. Other fields I'm using myself are not having validations enabled (Street, Postal code). You can try to extend CE to provide lookups and validations, however, I'm not familiar with the developments and options for CE.
