how to retrieve customer information from great plains using a SQL statement and VB

I am starting to build an application that links with Great Plains.

The application will link to a credit card gateway, in a PCI compliant method.

Could you please email me a sample select statement, that retrieves customer name, ID, address and email from Great Plains database?
