External document number doesn't carry over from quote/order to posted invoice

When I enter a value in "External document Number" in an offer/quote or a sales order, this is not transferred to the posted invoice (despite the field is available on the invoice).

How can I change this, so that the information is carried all through the chain?

This is not a standard issue. Is there any customization deployed?

Does this happen only with sales documents, or have you checked for purchases as well?

Hi

What our colleague said is correct. I performed the exercise in a Cronus 24.5 environment. I created the offer, converted it to a request, and then invoiced it and transferred the value everywhere.vPlease check if you have any customization.

I can confirm that it works for me as well. It should work out of the box if there are no customizations.
