We are setting up an event where guests can decide their own sessions they would like to attend. Some of these sessions have a maximum capacity. If this capacity is reached the next person will be waitlisted. It could be that after being waitlisted a spot becomes available, due to someone cancelling his or her registration. We automatically assign the oldest waitlisted person the new available spot.
It is unclear now however how to go about confirming that this has happened and that the person has been registered to the session. We have a customer journey that sends a confirmation after the first event + session registrations. Assigning a new available spot can however happen any time up until the event and sessions take place. I would like to know how something like this can be handled?
