I need to set up a new Employers Expense tax, ETT (Employee Training Tax). How do I do this?

I am setting up a new company. California has a Employee Training Tax, that the employer pays only, (like Suta and Futa). The rate is 0.1% on the first $7000.00.

I went into GP as "sa" and tried creating a new code, "ETT" under Setup/Payroll, "unemployment code or Tax ID", and it just says not a vailid tax code.

    Hi,

Did you ever find a solution to this?

    Hi,

So the max is $7.00? I would consider setting this up as a benefit and linking it to a vendor. The amount is not a deduction from employee pay, but it is based on employee pay.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Yes, setting it up as an Benefit will work.  It will not deduct from the employee's pay
