Retained earnings main account shows less amount in Management Reporter than in AX

Hi,

I built B/S report for one company with Management Reporter CU16, after reconciliation I found that Retained earnings main account shows less amount than the actual in AX2012, I queried from SQL Server and found that AX is correct.

Could you please help me fix the issue? Is it a bug in MR?

I couldn't find the difference as it has more than 100 000 lines in the details.

Regards,

Hichem

    Hello Hichem,

Have you already run the missing account analysis function in the Management Reporter? Maybe an account has been overlooked when setting up the report?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I have an issue with retained earnings which is only one main account that should be reflected as is as per my understanding.

    Hi Hichem,

So it's is only a single account balance that is not correct in MR, right?

Are you sure that this can't be caused by some filters that might have been applied?

If there is absolutely nothing that you can find that would explain this variance, you might have to reset the data mart of your Management Reporter. Once this has been done, the values in MR should match with those in AX.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

I deleted the DataMart and re-established it without luck, I am very surprised.

    Thanks for sharing the screenprints.

Did you run your Trial Balance with the Parameters 30 September 2017?

Because the Trial Balance list page allows you investigating only a single year, I would recommend that you check the balance on your retained earnings account also through the ledger Transaction list Report, which allows you analyzing transactions over multiple years.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

In my case Retained earnings ran only at the previous fiscal year closing only so basically the account has just an opening balance. Nevertheless, I did filter the TB to September 30th but nothing changed. I will do the analysis and get back to you.

You've shown the setup on the row definition.

And how about the column definition? Maybe look into "Period" to include (more) opening transactions or do you have filters/restrictions?

I did deep research and compared transferred transactions of that particular account

I found that MR has transferred 101125 out of 101139 records and the remaining 14 records make the exact difference.

    Any explanations are welcome.

When you from Trial balance click on an amount where one of the above missing transactions is part of to see transactions - then do you see the MR-missing transaction?

They do appear in AX details and not in MR details.
