Outlook App not able to track appointments

Hi,

We have a setup with our users tracking their appointments in Dynamics365 via the Outlook App, however, users cannot track meetings if someone else in the organization has called in for the meeting.

An orange message pops up with: 'you can't track this meeting because it was organized by another user'

Is this related to a setting or related to security roles, or merely just as is.

    Hi David, did you ever got an answer to this? I get organge box with message "meeting invites can't be tracked"

    Hi Punnu,

    I got this from MS Support:  

    Thank you for your email, regarding the error ‘you can’t track this meeting because it was organized by another user’ it is a known issue and we have highlighted it to the product team and they are working on it. It will be fixed in future update rollup of Dynamics 365. And this update will  be deployed tentatively after two or three months.

    Thanks David, However in this case I was the who created the appointment and I wanted to track it?

    Did you ever find a reason for this? We are getting the same thing with a user who is also the creator of the meeting.

    Any news for this problem? When using Dynamics 365 App for Outlook I cannot see button on Appointment and when using OutlookClient message popup shows.

    Not surprising, but sadly as of 21/09/2019 this is still broken.

    Hello,

    Fixed in Service Update 72 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0

    • Outlook - An error occurred when a user with Delegate access attempted to track an appointment that was created by another user. (Error: "You cannot track an appointment that was created by another user.")
