Hi,
I have an fixed asset which value is 150 and 3 years life. 4.16 is a periodic depreciation of this asset. So the 8 period of depreciation is 33.33. After done the depreciation for 8 months, GL transaction has been created for the 33.33 for this asset but in the asset book YTD depreciation shows only 20.5. Please advice me how the YTD is updated wrongly?

The problem in our system was, we have done the Fixed asset year end process 3 months later than fiscal period. For the 3 months the depreciation was already done (Before closing the fiscal period). So the next YTD not consider that 3 months for its calculation. So I have done reset year for that particular asset and the problem was resolved. In some cases if it is not resolved we have to do reset life.

Ya, But if YTD number manually updated, there should be a transaction have been created. But here I could not find any transaction for changed info. Also the GP version is GP10 sp3.

If that's the case, I wonder if someone manually updated the YTD number? The YTD depreciation should be the sum total of the depreciation detail you found by clicking on the link.
Thanks for your reply Frank, the YTD depreciation link shows the transactions for 33.33. also it shows 8 transaction.
If you click on the YTD Depreciation hyperlink in the Book Card, what does the transaction detail show you?
