Management Reporter quit working, you can submit 2-3 times and the report run

Getting the following error when running Management Reporter, just showed up with no explanation.  Has anybody seen this and been able to resolve without having to go to Upgraded versions

You can run the report 2-3 times and eventually it runs.  The db it names is the one you have logged into with Management Reporter when you log in.  Which makes no sense.  Checked install and no changes.

According to Microsoft, this is a known bug, more often seen in AX then in GP.  This just suddenly started happening.  The bug was fixed in MR2012.  So, we had to migrate to MR2012.  Of course, this will still run, but it might take 3-4 tries submitting it until it runs.  Trying to convince our accounting dept that they need to update to MR2012.  They don't like changes and especially don't like the account showing up with 2 dashes after the account XXX-XXX-XXX-- which I have found accommodates more detail in the datamart and legacy versions.

    Hi Sue,

I have a few things you may want to try.

    1. Is this data mart or legacy?

    - If legacy, then try the sa  account or another user account to make sure it isn't something involving gp password encryption or something else setup related

    2. Try using a different windows user to rule out something with saved credentials

    3. Try restarting the MR client and trying again, and then restart the MR services and restart the client. It looks strange to me that MR is allowing you to login, but not to generate a report with those same credentials.

    4. Check the application event log on the client or server to see if there is any additional information to help provide some context.

    Thanks

    Ryan
