Architecture of the Project Management and Services module of AX 2012

Hi,

Can you help me find a DB diagram for the Project Management and Services module?

More specifically I am searching for information where the data imported into the tables PSAActivityEstimates, smmActivities and ProjJournalTrans is visualized in AX 2012 and what other tables are related to them.

Hello Evgeni,

I am not sure whether the standard training documents include those diagrams.

Do you have the standard AX2012 MS training documents for the project module?

If so, take a look whether they include those diagrams.

If you cannot find them there then try to approach MS whether they can give them to you.

I do not know any other open and free source that would have this information.

Hi Evgeni,

There is no document explaining this process in DB structures. Microsoft had an website with ERD information for AX2012R2. This site has been retired. There are copies available which you can explore: alexdmeyer.com/ax2012erd Probably it helps you. Otherwise you can use the reverse engineering tool from within the AOT to define your own model.

Hi Andre ,

I'm not sure whether the ERD information is correct or not as when i click on the inventory and warehouse management - it does not show some key tables Inventtrans , Inventsettlement, Inventtrans origin.....

Hi Lally,

This ERD was created based on an older version of AX 2012. It is a guidance, not a complete solution. And for sure, the latest added tables in AX 2012 R3 are not described here.
