The function Undo shipment doesn't work

I tried to use the function "undo shipment"; but it tells me that the posting date is not within the range. However, I cannot change the posting date anywhere.

How can I do?

Did you check General Ledger Setup and User Setup fields of Allow Posting From and Allow Posting To?

No, I don't think that is something I can do from my function, but from Finance.

However, this has not been invoiced, and does not involve physical items. I just need to be able to unship to modify the item and re-ship it.

Then you have to talk to the finance people and let them allow you to post in the period where the original shipment was posted.

Or you will have to invoice it in the current period and then do a credit memo to undo the shipping if they do not allow you to post back in time.

Hi, This is a standard error, and there are two ways to deal with it that you must communicate with the finance department.

1. Opening the posting period in General Ledger Setup makes Undo Shipment available to you. (Financial statements are subject to change.)

2. Invoice this month, then use the Cancel function to cancel the invoice. (An invoice and credit memo will be generated)
