When i am trying to create a free text invoice, i am not able to post it as i am getting the following error attached below.

I have checked Ledger posting group and it has all the accounts that are needed with VAT payable, receivable and use tax as well.

Is there anything else i am missing and for info its a new Entity that i am trying to build?

Hi,

Two things to check

Can you see if the ledger is allowed to post by manual entry?

Can u also check if the ledger posting type is VAT ?

Check the Gl acount 100010.

If this is not a VAT account, then change its posting type from VAt to any relevant posting type.

This GL account is configured same as its in the other entity and its posting type is Null so it should stay same.

@ramit Paul,

Can you tell me how can i check those things you mentioned with navigations please?

This article mentions that you can view the posting type in the Posting Type field on the General tab of the Voucher Transactions page. Posting profiles overview - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
