Where id AdminUserProvisioning.exe go??

As recently as a few months ago, one could always find AdminUserProvisioning.exe in K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory\bin. But I provisioned a new cloud instance of F&O last week, and the exe in question is not there.

Please...where did Microsoft move it? (I won't ask WHY they moved the file from the one place that people have always known where to find it!!??)

Thank you.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi HerrimanCoder,

Why do you need this tool on a cloud hosted environment? When the machine is deployed, it is already configured for your tenant. When you need other users, you can add them or change the login related to the admin account via the user interface.

Someone at my company documented steps to go through when provisioning a new F&O environment, and using that tool is one of the steps. We have a user account at my company that is non-2FA, which we need for a certain integration.

If you can tell me how to achieve the same thing with the UI and without the tool, I would be grateful.

    Hi Herriman,

Instead of changing the admin account, I would suggest to look at the option to create a new user in the application with this account. On a production environment, you can't change the admin user without impact anyway.

For security reasons the reply URL setup for AAD was changed. As a result, running the admin provisioning tool on a cloud-hosted Dev VM should not be run.

    Hello Joris,

If I restore the UAT database on Customer Managed Cloud Hosted Development Environment (with Demo Data), earlier I had to run the Admin provisioning tool. Are you saying it won't be needed now?

    Hi MYGz,

If the tenant of the environment where you took the UAT database and the tenant of the DEV instance are the same, then you don't need the Admin provisioning tool.

I have a Dev instance in a client tenant that I have applied a template configuration (database) to from our partner tenant. Is there a way to get in this environment without the admin provisioning tool?
