Correct commission after posting

Posted on by 50

How does one correct commissions after the transactions are already posted?  If the Great Plains GUI provides no method to do this, can anyone explain how it can be done directly in tables using SQL?  (Does anyone have any scripts they've used to do this?)

If you want to update the Commission values for the posted document, this will also need to be affect with your GL. So, this is difficult task to update on SQL. Better contact your GP partner to correct the issue.

    Hope this helps!!!

Well, there are more than 20 sales transactions like this and some of them have already been paid (via credit card, etc.) and the only thing wrong is that the commission values were missing.  That's why I was wondering if there is an SQL script I could use to correct the commission values on all of these.  I just don't know if there are multiple tables to update or even how I could reference that to find out if I need only update one table, or multiple tables.

No option available for updating Commission in GP for posted transactions. Better you can void the posted transactions and create a new one with correct commission.

I would not recommend you to update the commission values in Back-End.

    Hope this helps!!!
