Cycle Counting - Phys. Invt. Item Selection displaying incorrect data

We are using Business Central version 14.

We are setting up cycle counting for our warehouse locations. We use advanced warehousing in both locations. Some years ago, this functionality was used. Currently, we do not have any items that have a Physical Inventory Counting Period defined on the item card.

When we go to a Warehouse Physical Inventory Journal and Calculate Counting Period, a list of items with Physical Inventory Counting Periods appear.

Does anyone know how to get this list to update to look at our current item configuration? I added a Physical Inventory Counting Period code to one item to see if this would trigger an update and was not successful.

Thank you in advance!

    Hello Daniele,

    Thank you for your reply!

We are perform the following steps as detailed in the Microsoft document and still having issues.

    learn.microsoft.com/.../inventory-how-count-adjust-reclassify

    1. Choose the pastedimage1666884398785v1.png icon, enter Whse. Phys. Invt. Journal, and choose the related link.

    2. Choose the Calculate Counting Period action.

The Phys. Invt. Item Selection window opens showing the items that have counting periods assigned and need to be counted according to their counting periods.

    3. Perform the physical inventory.

Which specific portion of this document are you suggesting could be of use to fix our issues?

    Hello All,

The issue was that while we had cleared the Inventory Counting Period Code from our items, we had not done the same from our SKUs. The SKUs adopted this code from the item card when they were created and were never cleared.

    Thank you,

    Hannah
