Security Role issue.

Hello Friends,

Today I am facing issue with Action pane button.Actually we have some customization in Retail module.

when i click on Retail -------> retail channels ----> online stores and then Set up tab. there is button "Sales order attributes". when i try to find related roles, duties or privilege, I could not find anything there.

I am also sharing pic. as well.

Now I want to see this button on my newly created role. what should i do now?

i mean how i know that this role or duty or privilege is used for it?

Hi Hassan,

If there is no detail mentioned in the roles related to menu item form, then still there might be privileges available. You can find out by using the security development tool or search within the privileges. In this case, the menu item is also not available as privilege. So, you have to create new privileges and duties yourself.

You can also report it to Microsoft Support.

thanks for reply. I used development tool and also assigned these privileges and duties to my newly created role. but its not working.

now tell me if i create new duty and privilege then what next i have to do and how?

I assigned this privilege (SalesQuotationTableDetailsMaintain)to role and this duty (SalesQuotationMaintain) but its not working.

Hi Hassan,

The security objects you used do not include the menu item RetailChannelSalesOrderAttributes. Like mentioned above, you need to create new security object for this menu item as it is not included in any privilege.

Hi Hassan,

You need to create a privilege and add the display menu item RetailChannelSalesOrderAttributes and give the desired access (e.g. read, delete). Then the privilege can be added to an existing or new duty or role directly.

You know I am wounder that there is a button in Sales and marketing module on action pane (Sell tab) with Sales quotation. it have privilege and duty as well. and when i assign these privileges and duties to my new role. this button still does not show. any insight?
