Cannot create a record in Position details (HcmPositionDetail). Insert not supported with the values specified for 'Effective' and 'Expiration'. New record overlaps with multiple existing records.

Hi Everyone,

I am getting the below error while creating worker with the position.

Cannot create a record in Position details (HcmPositionDetail). Insert not supported with the values specified for 

'Effective' and 'Expiration'. New record overlaps with multiple existing records.

I am not getting the point in this error, as i am new to HRM module(Functionality), request you all to tell me why i am getting this error or let me know what wrong i was doing while selecting the Position and its dates.

    each position has a duration.

    suppose there a position 'Human Resource Manager'

    This position may have a duration from JAN-1-2010 to DEC-31-2013.

    now if you try to add a new position within same positionId, it must not overlap exiting duration.

    By overlapping it can be as under for example

    if I selected same postionId and duration as May-1-2010 to FEB-18-2013 its is overlapping as JAN-1-2010 comes within range.
