Quick View form subgrid add new button hide for particular entity

Hi All,

I am using CRM 2016 OnPremise and database version 8.1.  I have a custom entity which has account look up value.  In this custom entity form, I have to add the opportunity subgrid which need to be filtered the open opportunity related to the account.  For this,  I created Quick View form in the customer and added opportunity subgrid.  This quick view form placed in the custom entity form.

No opportunity will be created from the subgrid.  So, i would like to hide the Add New button from the subgrid.  There is no relationship between custom entity and opportunity.  I tried Entity rule as display rule and custom JS rule as enable rule.  But nothing is working.

Kindly suggest any other solution is there.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Saratha.

    Hi,

Do you customized the right Add New button? There are two Add New buttons. And I think JS rule should work, you only need to check current entity name.

    Hi,

Thank you for your response.  I didn't customize new subgrid button.  It is CRM core button only.  I have added display rule by use EntityRule.  It is not working.  Then I added Enable Rule by using JS.  If the subgrid is in my custom entity form, the subgrid button should not display like that.  If I added this and if I click the "+" button, it is not doing any action.  Like, showing as disable kind.  But button is still visible.

    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Saratha

You can debug this by using “ribbondebug=true” to see if your JS code works as expected. powerapps.microsoft.com/.../

    Hi,

Thank you for the reference URL.  I am using CRM2016 onpremise 8.1 version.  Hope,  the shared URL  feature is added for the new version powerapps.

For validating, I have put alert message in the JS and checked.  I am getting proper output of true or false as expected.  But, when it is false the button should hide.  But it's not hiding.  Is there any exist enable/display rules conflict happen. If it is,  if I removed the rule, hope it will affect some other form which has this subgrid.

    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Saratha.
