Hello,
I have a question related the journals entries created and posted using the /Close Income Statment/ feature.
I closed the /Accountng Period/ for year 2022 and I ran the /close Income statment/, then I posted the journals. I noticed that the journals created and posted using the /close income statment/ aren't on the G/L Book report.
Is it a standard behaviour or/and how can I see the journals posted on the G/L Book report?

regards
Gianluca

    Hello HVGEEL,
I tried to change my language to English (United States) and try using the C12-31-... date.
But it is impossible on this request, I cannot specify a closing date (see picture below). I opened a support request to Microsoft and support told to me that is an isue of system design. I created a suggestion in the Microsoft Idea portal on this requirement for future enhancements.
    kind regards

the C - prefix is the ENU version, where it is called C (for Closing)
in my BE-localization, the C- prefix does not exist... it is localized as U- (for Ultimo... for some peculiar reason)

My suggestion: change your language to English (United States) and try using the C12-31-... date.

Most probably, the IT-localization uses a different 'localized' prefix for Closing entries.

the reason of my requirement is that for Italian gaap, I need to have all the transactions posted with debit and credit, not just the amount of the balance on G/L Book - Print. Below the Book on my environment that does not show the closing journals. All the journals posted after launched the Close Income Statement are not visible on the Book, but it is not correct, it is important to have all the transactions on the Book, closing journals too. So, this is the reason of my post. In fact, I can see only journals posted previous the closing period. I was hoping to find some suggestions to get these journals in the book, my be some flag or specific setup.
    thanks

Do You really need those amounts to be visible on the Report? As all Income Statement accounts would just show 0.00 at the end of the year. Usually they are not needed to be visible, therefore they have the special date C31.12.2022  which is a virtual date between 31st of December and 1st of January.
You can create a report from Financial Reports or just directly form G/L entries by filtering on ..C31.12.2022

I tried to use the C31/12/2022 for example, but the format C+data is not correct

This is standard behavior. In order to see these entries, instead of asking for 01/01/2023..12/31/2023, you specifically have to ask for 01/01/2023..C12/31/23. The idea is that you typically do not want to see the closing entries so most reports ignore the 'C'lose entries unless specifically requested.
