Importing a product database

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi There, I am trying to import a product DB (CSV) and I get the following error message:-

The Dini Argeo Price List record type could not be created: The entity name doesn't exist. Please specify an existing entity name.

Where can I find an existing entity name and what does this mean?

In CRM entity means DB table. Product is a table (entity) where you are importing your CSV file records.

Same way, Price list is an entity where the associated Price list will be imported first, then while importing Product records that Price list record will be mapped as lookup (foreign key)

If you go to (in CRM) Settings - Customizations - Customize the system, you can see all the entities in left tree view.
