How to i get delete a DEADLOCK

My server when down yesterday before we had a chance to shut it down .... most users had logged out though. Now when we try to loggin, we are getting GPS58 error, followed by SQL 601, then ODBC 37000 ...... RM_CUSTOMER_MASTER.    Tried running a check links for sales and got an error about a DEADLOCK but we got past and ran the checklinks but it just froze.  Anybody know how to resolve this issue .... we have no backup.
