Calculating fields in report writer (v6)?

ReportReport

Hi, I am currently using an old version of GP (version 6, think it was installed 2000/2001?) and I would like to modify a report to calculate sub totals under columns? Is this possible?

My report is REPORTS>INVENTORY>HISTORY>SALES SUMMARY

The layout is like this but I would like the QTY, sales and costs under each part, totaled:-

Part number Period   Year     Total Qty      Total Sales    Total Costs

101                    2       2018       4                   Â£20.00        £10.00

101                    3       2018       2                   Â£10.00        £5.00

HERE I WOULD LIKE TOTALS       eg    6                   Â£30.00         Â£15.00

IS THIS POSSIBLE??

Many thanks,

Vic

It is possible. Drag the Summary Sales field from the Inventory Sales Summary table onto the F1 - Item Footer section. Drag the Summary Cost field from the Inventory Sales Summary table onto the F1-Item Footer section. Double-click on the Summary Sales field and change the display type from Data to Sum, then click OK. Repeat for the Summary Cost field.

Save the report and grant access to the modified report.

    THANK YOU Mariano.

Brilliant. It works (even though the total sum for the qty has a "value" to it, i.e. printing the total as a £... I don't care. It means it is so much easier to get the info I need with totals) YES this is great. Thanks again.

VicMH if you double click on the field, you can change the data type (display) so it wont show the currency symbol.

    Regards
