macros in the POS window

I was wondering if anyone knew how to delete the macros in the POS window.  I have reassigned some to different keys but the original ones are still there.  Deleting the custom button in the Store Operations Manager doesn't affect the assigned keys.  It's probably nothing to worry about but I like to keep things tidy....are the macros stored anywhere?  I went looking but didn't find anything.....thanks

figured it out, check out the KB in cutomer source under macros, it's there if you're comfortable working with SQL

    Quick question, any help appreciated...

I am new to RMS, I administer servers primarily.  I need to know where the Macros reside in the RMS/POS system itself.

I have an install I need to do, we are basically cloning an existing POS from a site, to field at other sites.  RMS ver 2.

The site uses a macro to check a 12 digit UPC, and it adds a 13th digit as a checksum.

Where in the exisitng system would the macro reside?  I am approaching the issue as if it is a file that resides on the system but from your post, it sounds like any macro running on the system would be in the SQL database that is installed on the system, is this correct?  And how would one go about finding the macro in the DB?

Thanks, I would also like a website that explains the RMS system, explored Microsoft site, but it seems to be more sales oriented.  I need a site that talks about the nuts and bolts.

I hope this helps, through my travels in and around RMS I found the Macros are in a table named "macro", funny how that is. Log in through the Store Ops Admin and you can find them there. If you're familiar with SQL statements and queries it's pretty easy. Even if you're not, it's easy enough to figure with the help of the almighty internet. I took some DBA courses a few years ago and haven't touched it since installing RMS and it hasn't been too bad. Just make sure you back up your DB before doing anything!

Thanks much, greatly appreciated.  And perfect timing too!  Installing the new system today...
