is there API support from MS Dynamics AX ? if yes, can I have a formal documentation providing me with the object list?

Hi,

I need to develop a plug-in integrator using MS Dynamics ( both 2009 and 2012 are recommended). I searched on the MSDN links but could not find a specific documentation which contains information for its objects. I merely encountered a piece of information where it has been mentioned that MS Dynamics does not have an API. I am confused now.

It would be really helpful if I can get some pointers. I need to get the API information so that I can go ahead and plan a connector development.

In my case, the integration is not with CRM. It is just a plug-in integrator with one of our client tools. We need to develop a connector that will help us exchange bi-directional information.

Hi Pooja,

Microsoft Dynamics AX uses Application Integration Framework (AIF) to integrate and communicate with external business applications, AIF enables both business-to-business and application-to-application integration scenarios. Refer to below MSDN link:

Hi, you can either use AIF or BusinessConnector to integrate with AX.
