You can go to control panel and select the Microsoft dynamics GP >> right click and change the program >> Add/Remove feature >> in the select feature window >> select professional service tools library >> click next and install.

    Thanx man!

I had three years to change, 2013, 2014, 2015 to 2014, 2015, 2016 respectively. 2013 is a historical year but the other two are open years. I did the changes in PSTL with the fiscal period setup. however after reconciling and all, I realise that my then 2013 but now 2014 TB has no balance!!

    How can I resolve this?

    Hi Ruth,

According to the PSTL manual you have to run the GP Financial reconcile on every historical and open years to re-align the beginning balance.. did you do that ?

Yes I did, but no show.

Another thing I noticed was dat, whiles recreating the fiscal years, I couldn't choose 2014 as historical year. gp didn't allow me to check that historical year box.

That is because your 2014 year was not closed in GP.. so its still considered as an open year, despite the fact you shifted everything by one year.. Close that year and you'll be able to select it as historical year.

Hmmm, 2014 is very much closed boss!

Just quoted what you were saying... So is 2014 open or is it closed ?

True Sir, ok I get the explanation now. so then 2014 which wasn't closed is the reason why now 2014 cant be checked as a historical year. Point well noted.

so how do I get the 2013 which is now 2014 balances to show in TB. I have used the reconcile utitlity as well as checklinks.

Ok so this is what worked for me.....

I reversed the historical year i.e 2013, changed the fiscal years, then finally closed my new 2014.

    thanks y'all!
