Can I set up two automatic pay types for one payroll period?

Our employees get paid for not being the coompany healthcare plan. We would like to make these payments with each payroll period. I have both hourly and salary payroll. What kind of pay type could I set up so that I don't have to input the information with each payroll period.

    An option would be to set it up as a 'Taxable' Benefit Code versus a pay code.   This way it is unique to each employee, and you can elect to include the benefit on the payroll builds.

    Hi Sandy,

    If they are receiving a set amount each pay period, it's not a benefit, it's wages. You could set them up on a salary pay code and just set it up so that it pays whatever amount you choose to pay. I'm not a tax expert, but paying someone for not being on the benefit plan is a taxable payment.

    Hi Leslie,

    Yes, the pay is taxable. By setting the Pay Type as Salary it does work. I think for the hourly I may have to enter it each period.
