GP Full Account Numbers are missing

Posted on by 75,730
  • I have a situation where when we print any report that prints the GL account number, it only prints the first segment. So instead of gettting 2140-023-094 all we get is 2140.

  • I have tried all the usual tricks as per Victoria.
  • Check the account format for the company and make sure it is still showing the correct segment setup
  • Make sure the accounts exist in the account master
  • Checklinks the Account Master Logical Table
  • Reconcile GL
  • Reconcile the Account Format Setup (System Utility)
  • You'll need to confirm your main segment is marked correctly in company account format setup if your main segment is not segment 1. If the main segment needs to be changed you will need to Check Links the Account Master again.
  • Using the PSTL tool to recreate the GL index master (This is a free tool in PSTL)

Does anyone have any further ideas? Is this a bug in  GP 2010?

RE: GP Full Account Numbers are missing

i ran into this with the TB reports, cross ref report and the project reports and others- not sure if it was due to the fields being different on the prior versions or just an issue with eh GP2013 versions not having the correct field- the same issue does not always occur for that version on all sysems - just some systems?  at any rate i had to manualy open the reports in RW and drag the correct account field onto the affected reports that were only showing part of the GL account.. then set security for the new mod report versions..  in fact-this just happend to me today on gp2013R2 on 5/18/2015 - that is how i came across this thread - to see if someone found a better solution - hope this helps

I would go into RW and look at the report. Perhaps someone has some special coding in there.

Simply amazing. Even though the report was not in the reports.dic rebuilding the reports.dic did the trick. I will add this to my checklist if I ever see this again. Thanks.

Try rebuilding the reports dictionary.   This is true even if the report is NOT a modified report  I had a similiar situation recently on GL Trial Balance, only segement showing was first and the rest were garbage.   The only modified report was an AP check.   Rebuiding the reports.dic did the trick.   Go figure.
