Are there any good, detailed resources to setup Business Central Service Management?

We are a small organization, and we are doing our own implementation due to budget constraints. We offer service contracts and to have a couple of service people that we would like to manager with BC. The default setup worked great for Items, Vendors, Customers, and GL Accounts, but Service and Service Contracts had no defaults. 

Would appreciate any assistance pointing me to some good online resources.

    There are defaults. Go to configuration packages and pull in the “extended” package. There is a page action on the list page to do this. Place a filter on the table name column as @*Serv* and it should show all/most of the tables you need. Use the apply package for those tables you require.

    If you don’t want to muddle things with your main company maybe create a new one and just apply the entire package. That way you can assess whether the default setups are worth your while

    This is a great suggestion from Josh.  If you still have your CRONUS play company, import the Extended Package and apply the data to it.  This way you can learn the Service Mgmt. side of BC better.

    You might also check the Dynamic Learning portal to see if they have added any sessions on Service Mgmt.
