Hi All,

I have a functional question (Inventory / Non-Inventory) items, if you can help, i will be very grateful.

I would like to know how can i understand if a product exist in stock or not, it's the searching in (InventSum) table i can get all the products who has stock ?

Is there any field in InventTable or InventSum table to know if this product exist in Stock or Not ? :)

Thanks in advance.

If you need to simply know if an item is inventory / non-inventory item, you can find it at the Item's ItemGroup. docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-items-and-services-for-not-stocked-trade  The Checkbox 'Stocked product ' will answer this question.

Further, Inventory items can also have 0 onhand (from InventSum). This doesn't mean, it is a non-inventory item.

On the other Hand Non-Inventory items do not have any entry in InventSum at all.

Thank you for your reply, so to know if a product On hand Inventory or not just by checking the Item Model Group field in InventTable. ?

I guess, you are using the wrong words.. But I got your question.

No, just the ItemGroup at InventTable won't tell you anything. You have to navigate to the ItemGroup master, and look at the Checkbox "Stocked product". If this is checked, it is an inventory Item.

Youcan safely ignore Inventsum table for the Moment.

Hi .Crispin, can you please, identify to me the difference between the inventTable and InventSum tables.

and which one of them i need to use to retrieve only OnStock products.

    Thanks.

Also, if i'm obliged to make join ON InventTable and InventSum (InventTable.ItemId = InventSum.ItemId), to retrieve only the onStock products?.

Crispin, i would like to check with me. if using this join is safe to retrieve or check OnHand/Not OnHand items.

JOIN 1 between InventTable & InventModelGroupItem

JOIN 2 between InventModelGroupItem & InventModelGroup

and then test on boolean field " StockedProduct " on " InventModelGroup ".

    Hi Crispin,

Do you mean Item model group or Item group. Because the stocked product checkbox is available at Item model group.
