ReportReport

Is it possible in Business Central, using .RDL report layouts and AL coding, to create a sub-report that will drill to the detail of the main report?

I can create main reports using RDL layouts, and code the source in AL, but it appears Report Builder expects any sub-report to be on a report server.

Just wondering how Microsoft plans to allow programmers to eventually drill down to detail from a main RDL report in this space.

I'm also wondering if it is possible to dynamically change page field captions with D365-BC?

We have a report that is displayed on a page, but the columns of the report need to be dynamically captioned with values a user can enter in another table.
I'm just wondering if this is possible, and if so how to accomplish it.
Is there any sample code of this available?

    Okay, thanks.

Power BI doesn't help because I want to use native RDL's, as I do with the main reports I've written, and have them run as extensions to D365BC incorporated into the product.

I guess this just cannot work like SSRS since we cannot "see" the server to reference for sub-reports.

Yes, you cannot drilldown between reports in D365BC. The sub report must be external.

Plans for drilldown: Power BI? :-)
