why batch job status is not changing to executing?

Hi,

I made sure that the Batch Management service is started, However when i run a batch and go to batch enquiry form, i see the batch job scheduled date is filled but start time is not. Also the batch history is empty. So the status is always waiting. How can i make it work and change to executing?

Hi Junior AX

A batch job will run according to the recurrence set to it. if your sever is present with the batch group then system should execute your batch job.

Can you share the recurrence of the batch job.?

Please restart Batch Management service after assigning the empty batch group.

Hi Nikolaos,

I clicked on the arrow before but nothing happened. it seems i need to select it properly.. I'll try now if the batch will work.

There are no batch servers associated with Empty batch group, as we can see from your second screenshot.

You need to click the arrow button to select the server to be used with this batch group.

Hi,

check the batch group is set for the batch job and that batch group has a batch server assigned. (Sys admin-> setup ->batch group)

Hello,

Thus can be multiple reason.

Can you quickly check if the batch group is selected properly? if that is not selected, this should not run ever.
