Hi, we are using CRM online, we have setup a sharepoint site, I got into Settings-->Document Management, enabled Sharepoint integration and so on...

CRM created a list of folders in CRM for leads, quotes, opportunities and so on....but they are completely empty even if leads and opportunities have been created....

what do I need to enable or setup ???

    Hi Antonio,

Your Setup is perfect, you have not missed out anything.

Creating Leads, Opportunities .... won't create anything on the SharePoint Site.

You need to go to the Fly-Out Menu and select Documents.

This will bring a SharePoint Associated View. When you add documents, Dynamics CRM will try to create a Folder with the Name of Lead, Opportunity .... and then the documents will be stored into individual Document Library in SharePoint.

For more information please find this link

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Hi Antonio,

After the setup, open the entity record (e.g. lead, account, contact, opportunity, etc.) for which the Document Management setting is enabled. Navigate to the related entities of the entity record and go to the "Documents". If this is the first time, CRM will ask for creating folder for the record in the SharePoint site if not already created.

Can you lookinto the document location entity. CRM keeps record wise folder location into this entity. and it gets created only when you click on document navigation menu first time.

However you can also customize the system to make these link automatically.

Yes, Accounts, Loeads, Quotes and so on have been created...but isn't it possible to aumtaically create a folder structure, for example for each account, so I can sync docs inserted in CRM and docs inserted in Sharepoint?

Or do I always have to go into each account, and then go to "Documents" to create their own structurwe?

I think this is not possible through customization and configuration.

You can write plugin on create of entity record and to create folder in the SharePoint site for the entity record under the entity folder (created by enabling Document Management setting for the entity).

But, this works for an On-premise environment only . As the plugin code uses some SharePoint assemblies which require SharePoint Client Components installed on the CRM server, the functionality is not supported by an Online environment.
