Segmentation - Learn | Microsoft Docs

Instead of Exclude I have the Except-option.

And the description (Except represents members that exist in the previous rule but not in the following rule) is confusing me.

Shouldn't it be like "If customers also exist in the below selection they will be excluded from this segment"

    Hi,

    The Learn document you mention does differ from your screenshot and is probably not up to date.

    But the two statements you find confusing I think are expressing the same meaning, i.e. exist in group A but not in group B.

    This can be understood by the icons it uses.

    Please refer to the following documentation which is consistent with the environment you are using.

    • Union unites the two groups.
    • Intersect overlaps the two groups. Only data that is common to both groups remains in the unified group.
    • Except combines the two groups. Only data in group A that is not common to data in group B is kept.
