Un-publish a SmartList that exports to an Excel File

Does anyone know how to un-publish a Smartlist that has been setup to export a file to Excel?  The reason why I am looking to reverse this is because the default Financial Transactions Smartlist currently exports to an Excel file template stored on a server however due to permission issues I am looking to reverse this Smartlist from exporting to the excel file template but instead just export to an ordinary blank excel spreadsheet.

I have found various bits of information online as to how to publish a smartlist but I am struggling to find any information on how to un-publish one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kevin

    Hi Natalia,

The only way I've found to un-publish a SmartList Designer report is to delete the entry for the Published report in syDeployedReports within the DYNAMICS database.

    SELECT
    *
    FROM DYNAMICS..syDeployedReports
    WHERE ObjectType = 5

The above SQL query will give you a list of deployed SmartList Designer reports. If you find your report in the list and run a delete statement to remove the line it will 'un-publish' the report. Beware, it's wise to back up your database before removing this data and I would recommend making the change on a development system before you go ahead and do this in a production environment.

I need a solution to this problem also!

I found the .odc and the excel file in administration --> excel reports, but the "remove from" button is grayed out!

    Hi Kevin,

Not for sure but I believe you have to go into the Smart List report and click on the Report Options tool (SmartList- Checkbox Report -Publish Report option - Report Option- Email Options/Destination).  From there you can delete the report option or modify it so it won't automatically export to Excel.

    Good luck!
